Evening Aboriginal dance and didgridoo performance and bushtucker supper
An evening of entertainment, education and eating.
Let us welcome you with a surprise beverage, a song in language and bush inspired nibbles.....then entertain you with an Aboriginal dance and digeridoo performance.  After that enjoy a bushtucker supper with a contemporary interpretation….and then settle in with the storyteller.  Browse and shop in the gallery before you head home.

6 pm start and allow up to 3 hours.

Bushtucker supper includes barbecued bush meats  (kangaroo sausages and emu meatballs), a selection of savouries such as Crocodile and Wild Lime Pastries, Lemon Myrtle Cheesy Savouries, Wattleseed and Sweet Potato Patties, Bush Tomato Mousse in Savoury Cases,
Quondong Jam Tarts with Cream and Lemon Myrtle Cake.

Bush Tucker Talk and Tastings

Sniff, touch and taste a variety of herbs, spices, peppers and dried fruits, while learning where they grow and how to incorporate them into your cooking.

Sample sauces, chutneys, jams and marmalades made from Australian native fruits. Finish with a delectable Quondong Jam Tart and a Bush Flavoured Cake.

All the herbs, spices, peppers, dried fruits, sauces and jams are available to purchase.  The are complimentary recipes as well as recipe and bushtucker books for sale.

Local History, Culture, Tools and Weapons

Listen to a fascinating insight into local history, sites and stories.  Learn about kinship systems and marriage laws.  Handle the tools and weapons as you learn how they are made and used.  Hear about the usefulness of kangaroo poo and how to prepare a goanna for cooking.
